Welcome

Hello! I am Hannes Vandecasteele. I'm a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), with a joing appointment at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, I was a PhD student at KU Leuven where I worked on accelerated micro-macro sampling for multiscale and high-dimensional probability distributions coming from molecular dynamics.

My research centers on the development of numerical and machine learning algorithms for computational chemistry.
